About Us

In 1978 Fred Wiley opened BMW Cycle Center and in 1979 moved it to it's present location near I-84. In 1982 it became an independent cycle shop servicing both BMW and Harley Davidson and that's how the name "Big Twin" came about. In 1990, Big Twin regained it's BMW dealership and in 1991 took on the popular Ducati motorcycle line as well. In 1994 Henry Louie left his home and motorcycle shop in California and moved to Boise to become a partner and dealer principle of Big Twin Cycle Center. In 1995 Big Twin became a Triumph dealer and in 1998 added Aprilia and Moto Guzzi. The year 1999 saw a major remodel of the Big Twin facilites. Watch for another make-over between now and the end of 2008.
